a traditional Japanese lucky charm doll in Mihara, the Daruma town.
Mihara is a town where has been developing unique Daruma culture
such as a Daruma featured mascot and special Daruma.
The Daruma here in Mihara is particulary called “Mihara Daruma.”
Although typical Daruma is a hollow faced
and round doll on which has to be painted the eyes
when the owner make the wish comes true,
Mihara Daruma which has tied the long
and narrow head already has its own eyes
and a bell or a pebble in the body to bring good luck for the future.In this craft workshop,
you can make up the Daruma’s face by yourself.
