Mihara has long been known for it’s Sake breweries. In the literature published in 1645.
Mihara Sake appeared and many breweries popped up and flourished.
The only surviving brewery remaining now is ” Suishin Yamane Honten” ,
10 minutes walk from Mihara station, you will be greeted by a black and white decorative wall that stands out among the city landscape.
Since Suishin Yamane Honten’s inception in 1860, it has received countless awards.
It is said that “Suishin” is know to be loved by famous people like the great Japanese painter “Taikan Yokoyama”.
It is the one of the top Sake breweries in Hiroshima prefecture.
It is know domestically and internationally for being brewed by using Mihara’s famous soft water.
